ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
SERVICE DESCRIPTION:Performs services to protect and promote public health in Defiance County. This is done by regulation enforcement, inspections and providing educational materials and programs for the public. The Environmental Health Division is responsible for the following programs: body art, boy/girl scout camp inspections, food inspection/protection program, food safety education, harmful algal blooms, household sewage treatment systems, manufactured home parks, private water systems, public health nuisance complaints, real estate/subdivisions, recreation park camps, school environmental health, smoke-free workplace, swimming pools and spas, rabies/animal bites, insects/bug safety.
