SERVICE DESCRIPTION:Booster shot is is now available for everyone age 12 and older. For those age 12+ the third shot is available for those who want it. For those age 50+ are eligible for a 4th shot if they are severely immune deficient, starting four months after their first booster. The FDA has recommended that everyone age 50 and older be eligible for a 4th dose with no restrictions on health but that has not been passed by the CDC yet.

Booster shots for ages 12 and older (Pfizer) or 18 and older (Moderna or Johnson & Johnson). Can be either Pfizer or Moderna or J&J and they are allowed to choose a different manufacturer than their first two shots. Recommended you wait at least five months (Pfizer) or 6 months (Moderna) after your second dose, two months for Johnson & Johnson for the booster.

SERVICE HOURS:Schedule at the portal at https://vaccinate.oklahoma.gov/en-US/ or anywhere that is administering the vaccine (Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc.) If using the Okla. State Dept. of Health vaccine portal, they may need to use a different email address other than the one they used for their first two vaccines.

ELIGIBILITY:Intended to be for people with moderate to severe immunosuppression and not persons with chronic conditions for which there might be mild associated immunosuppression. The patient should work with their doctor to determine if they should have the booster.
