SERVICE DESCRIPTION:Booster shot is the term for someone getting the third shot that has an underlying medical condition or is over the age of 65. Third dose is the term to use for someone who has moderate to severe immunocompromised. Booster - age 18+ with underlying medical conditions or are at risk of exposure due to work in institutional setting. Also anyone age 65+.

Booster shots for ages 12-64 (Pfizer) or 18-64 (Moderna or Johnson & Johnson) who have underlying medical conditions. Ages 65+ should receive a booster shot. Anyone age 18-64 who are at an increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of their occupation or institutional setting may receive a booster shot. Can be either Pfizer or Moderna and they are allowed to choose a different manufacturer than their first two shots. Recommended you wait at least six months after your second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, two months for Johnson & Johnson for the booster.

SERVICE HOURS:Schedule at the portal at https://vaccinate.oklahoma.gov/en-US/ or anywhere that is administering the vaccine (Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc.) If using the Okla. State Dept. of Health vaccine portal, they may need to use a different email address other than the one they used for their first two vaccines.

ELIGIBILITY:Intended to be for people with moderate to severe immunosuppression and not persons with chronic conditions for which there might be mild associated immunosuppression. The patient should work with their doctor to determine if they should have the booster.
