SERVICE DESCRIPTION:Our foster care experts support you from the start of your application and stay with you throughout each placement. Foster families have 24/7 support, priority placement in our early education centers, priority access to trauma-certified therapists, mental health consultation, monthly Parent’s Night Out, and more. The Sunbeam Foster Care process usually takes about three months, but it can vary based on individual situations. Sunbeam welcomes foster parent applications from individuals and families regardless of marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, religion, or race.

SERVICE HOURS:Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

INTAKE PROCEDURE:Complete the information request form online at SunbeamFamilyServices.org, call 405-609-8931 or email fostercare@sunbeamfamilyservices.org. Fingerprint and background checks are required.

FEES:None

ELIGIBILITY:Single or married, 21 years of age or older, live within 40 miles of OKC, complete pre-service training, managing own finances, appropriate beds for child, good physical and mental health, no prior conviction, criminal history, alleged or confirmed child abuse, neglect or sexual abuse.
