TANF

Provides monthly cash assistance based on family's income, resources and child's deprivation (child deprived of adequate financial support because of a parent's death, continued absence from the home, physical or mental incapacity or chronic unemployment). Cash assistance is available on a time-limited basis. The purpose is to provide temporary support in meeting basic needs, training leading to employment, employment services and childcare assistance for qualified families with children.

INTAKE PROCEDURE:Application available online at www.okdhs.org by searching for Request for Benefits Form in the search bar. Completed forms must be submitted to local DHS office in person, by fax or mail.




FEES:None.

ELIGIBILITY:Must be a US citizen, reside in service area, and meet income guidelines.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:Must provide proof of income, proof of residence, relationship with child, age of child, and proof of citizenship.
